The Fourth International GPLv3 Conference will be held on August 23 and 24, 2006 in Bangalore, India . This event is the part of world-wide events organized by Free Software Foundation for creating awareness about the upcoming version three of the GNU General Public Licence (GPLv3) .
  • Gnash Project tools Released
Gnash is a project to build a SWF version 7 compliant flash player with high-quality imaging. It is the most advanced free flash player that currently exists, and an important addition to the GNU project. The release of Gnash represents the achievement of one of the free software movement's high priority projects (see http://www.fsf.org/campaigns/priority.html).

The launch event for the first the first draft of GNU General Public License version 3 will be at MIT in Cambridge, MA, USA on January 16-17 2006.
