Capabilities include translating a read call, supporting SEEK_* in lseek, and dynamically determines the length of the file (which incidentally is a very slow operation, because the way the way the bz2 library has been written, the only way to find out the length of the uncompressed file is to uncompress it). It has some "major problems" too... concede the developers....||
